The sun is beating on us, slowly cooking us with 35 degree celsius rays. With this kind of weather in Singapore, who wouldn't love ice cream to cool you down. On top of that, let's support local creations! Wouldn't you be fans of ice cream with Horlicks, Tiger Beer, Pulut Hitam, Teh Tarik flavours? Well Island Creamery produces all these flavours that we all Singaporeans can identify with.
This is my single scoop of Teh Tarik Ice Cream in a cone (S$2.80). Instead of drinking hot Teh Tarik (Tea with milk with topped with froth from "pulling" the tea) in the seltering sun, why not have the same taste in the form of an ice cream.
Takeaway tubs with different flavours (S$9/tub) to choose. How about a Tiger Sorbet instead of Tiger beer?
Polaroid photos of past customers adorn the wall inside the creamery. This gives Island Creamery a very friendly, casual ambience.
Apart from the creamery at Serene Centre, Island Creamery has a stall in the basement of the Great World City right opposite the cashiers of the Cold Storage, if you are near the vicinity.
Want ice cream with a local twist in a hot weekend afternoon? Now you have one more place to consider.
