| We took the chance to go for a little coffee break right after we brought little Julien for a check up at Gleneagles Medical Centre. Dolcetto by Basilico is nearby in The Regent Singapore and we haven't indulge ourselves with some five star hotel treatment for a while. So here we go with little menace in tow. |

| Dolcetto is more like a Deli tucked in one corner of The Regent Singapore at the lobby level. There ain't any seats inside Dolcetto but we were allowed to sit at the lobby on the comfortable sofa where we settled little Julien. Well, being settled down is an understatement, rolling about and bouncing around are more appropriate terms. Anyway the long comfortable lobby sofa made this possible. As it was about 4pm, there weren't many people, we had the whole lobby sofa to ourselves. |

| Dolcetto served Illy coffee. I had to bring the coffee out myself as it's all self service. Of course, there was no service charge. |

| We thought that this was a typical strawberry shortcake but no. This devious little sweet devil came with extra little sweet sugar bits stuck to the sides of the cake with the almond nuts. No doubt sweet but delicious! |

| The fillings were crunchy prawns and sweet morsels of crab meat encompassed within squid ink panini to make this a wholesome seafood meal. |
