Only a couple of hours after my wife and I completed 10km run in the Singapore SC Marathon, we were sitting inside Yan Ting 宴庭 to "heal" our body.
After hearing many people talk about the Dim Sum in Yan Ting, we decide to visit the restaurant with my mother-in-law for her birthday celebration.
The interior of Yan Ting. Comfortable lights .... Full back cushion seats ..........
There's quite a good variety to choose from the menu. I would recommend the following dishes to whet your appetite.
How can we have dim sum without Siew Mai ..........
and Har Gao ..........
The Slow-Cooked Pork Belly with Man Tou is good. The belly meat is tender and the fats melts in your mouth. It's nice that this dish comes in a small portion ..........
These are not carrots. They are Man Tou, bread sticks to go with the pork belly's sauce ..........
Szechuan Style Steamed Scallop with Bean Curd ..........
Crispy Roasted Duck in Taro Crust ..........
Wok-Baked Lobster with Spring Onion. This dish is served to every one on the table. there's no need to order ..........
The "lonely" Wok-Baked Prawn in Garlic Butter on my plate ..........
Deep Fred Prawns in Wasabi Mayonnaise. It's quite good but not the best I've eaten in Singapore ..........
Sauteed Prawns with XO sauce. I think this prawn dish is better than the Wasabi prawn here ........
Here's that little bit of vegetable. Some Broccoli with Crab Meat ..........
Only interesting desert I see. Chinese Marshmellows ..........
Overall, the food here is good , but I suggest that you go some where else for desert.
