Smoked Salmon Toasts


I'm a control freak. Not about everything but, yeah, mostly about everything. ESPECIALLY about food. Unlike a normal person, after a few days of someone else cooking for me I start to get all twitchy and weird. I must make something. Anything. Just something that is blog worthy. Look at what you people are doing to me?! I'm twitchy!!!

Last night, someone else was on dinner duty, so I knew that if I didn't make an appetizer, I would die. Siri died from twitching, so sad. I found smoked salmon, and already sliced sourdough bread, and here's how I saved my life...

Roughly chopped smoked salmon, chopped white onion, lemon juice, chopped pickles, black pepper...


Mayo and mustard, whisked together...


Toasted bread, a layer of sauce, smoked salmon on top...


Mighty tasty. Next time I make this, I will use red onion instead of white, capers instead of pickles and top it with fresh dill. But at least I'm alive, sigh...
